Welcome to the Florida Georgia Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (FGLSAMP). FGLSAMP is a collaborative effort sustained by a coalition of 14 colleges and universities throughout Florida (13) and Georgia (1) with a mission to significantly increase the number of underrepresented minority students statewide who complete undergraduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields (STEM). FGLSAMP proposes to significantly expand its STEM talent pool through greater collaboration among the 14 partner institutions and enhanced practices that:
FGLSAMP will augment its current STEM socialization practices to achieve these key guide posts, which are at the heart of all FGLSAMP academic enhancement and professional development activities. This goal will be accomplished through the implementation of integrated series of academic enhancement and professional development initiatives at key transition points. The promotion of undergraduate research and preparation for graduate school will be a key component of the comprehensive strategies implemented.
