FGLSAMP in partnership with the National Science Foundation (NSF), proposes to significantly increase the numbers of STEM baccalaureate, masters and Ph.D. recipients through the implementation of best practices.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHO we are

FGLSAMP is a coalition of 14 colleges and universities throughout Florida (13) and Georgia (1). Our mission is to increase the number of underrepresented minority students with undergraduate STEM degrees (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

Since 1992, FGLSAMP has increased the pipeline of STEM professionals through recruiting, equipping, and graduating over 2,000 underrepresented minority students with undergraduate STEM degrees!

To become an FGLSAMP scholar, all you have to do is:

  • Be enrolled in an FGLSAMP institution
  • Have an interest in attaining a degree in an area of science; technology; engineering; or mathematics (STEM)
  • Maintain a minimum G.P.A of 2.8
  • Participate in the schedule of activities during the school year
  • Must participate in a research experience (on or off campus)
  • Adhere to the program guidelines as established by the FGLSAMP Coordinator and the National Science Foundation
